I'm not a particularly religious person, in fact, I'm the opposite. However, it's hard to ignore the undertones of the story of Eve, and place it in a modern context. Taken from a rib, a part of Adam's body, a portion of his soul. Her own person, but a part of him.
lyrics
Taken from me,
Taken from Eve,
Endless dawn.
Every picture you frame,
Every person you blame,
makes you cold.
I can lie,
That's a gift that I own,
I can fight,
That's when I feel least alone,
Tell me if you could die,
Where would you go,
I'd run straight to you,
So I could let you go.
Hold out your hand,
Don't cry where you stand,
It's not your time.
If there's light in your soul,
You can still kill me cold,
That's your right.
I can lie,
That's a gift that I own,
I can fight,
That's when I feel least alone,
Tell me if you could die,
Where would you go,
I'd run straight to you,
So I could let you go.
If I could die,
Would you?
I don't want to take this anymore,
Anymore, I can't feel myself.
